General Description:

Polyimide tape, or known as Kapton tape, is an electrical insulation heat resistant tape which is not easily melt in hot temperature. Tape is made of polyimide film and silicone adhesive used for PCB solder masking and other high temperature applications. It is widely used in electronic manufacturing and 3D printing. The main functions of kapton tape are:

·         Insulation/fastening, used for fastening heating elements.

·         Protection layer in Print Surface, for printing ABS and to stick with Kapton tape, tape should be hot with minimum temperature 80-130 C

·         Anti-friction, alternative to lubrication (smoothing)
